About Chapman Language and Literacy

Hi! My name is Hadasah Chapman, and I’ve been a speech-language pathologist since 2015. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for literacy intervention, particularly written morphology, because it makes language “visible” and accessible.

In 2020, I founded Chapman Language and Literacy with the mission to support learners with diverse needs and to show them that English spelling does make sense! I love integrating my clients’ interests into our sessions and witnessing the excitement on their faces when they understand why words are spelled a certain way. It’s incredibly rewarding to help learners of all kinds leverage their strengths to make progress in reading and spelling.

The principles of Structured Word Inquiry align perfectly with intervention strategies for language disorders and executive functioning challenges—both of which often coexist with dyslexia. My goal is to help learners make sense of English spelling as they experience it!

I am available to provide services via teletherapy as well as consulting with speech-langauge pathologists working in the schools who are implementing SWI.
